Privacy Policy
Shadow AI Enterprise provides a browser extension that protects sensitive information when using AI tools. This policy explains how we handle data. The extension scans text only on your device to detect and redact sensitive content before it is sent to AI services,this content never leaves your device unless a security event is logged. In such cases, only anonymised security event data is sent to your organisation’s secure dashboard: this includes the type of violation, timestamp, anonymised device identifier, and website domain. No names, email addresses, or directly identifiable personal data is stored. Only your organisation’s unique company ID is stored locally on your device to connect to your dashboard.
Data is used solely to apply your organisation’s security rules, generate compliance audit logs, manage active device licences, and troubleshoot service issues. We never sell, rent, or share data with third parties; data is only accessible to your organisation’s authorised administrators.
This service is designed to meet NHS Information Governance and UK GDPR / Data Protection Act 2018 requirements.
